OBI staff Dale Frith and Charles Henderson have worked on the Brentford FC training ground since 2015, from which point they have overseen its upgrade. With continued success, the club developed plans to return the academy to the training ground, which included the construction of 2x new carpet hybrid pitches, 2x artificial pitches (1 x indoor) and 2 x sand carpet pitches. In addition, OBI managed all site earthworks, landscaping and ecology offset implementation.
Deliverables
Assess the existing pitch and its upper and lower root zone profiles.
Determine the extent of material renewal required.
Design pitch surround detail to facilitate conversion to artificial.
Write specifications and schedules of works to facilitate tender.
Onsite presence and key stage inspections during work.
Completion testing and sign-off.
